Textile Design
Through weaving and painting, this class introduced students to the structural and surface design of functional textiles and fiber art. Students focused on the tactile and visual to transform their sketches into fabric designs. Class discussions suggested new ways of looking at color, pattern, texture and layout and promoted the sharing of ideas in a supportive environment.
